About Me

Hi there! I am a multi-genre writer, editor, and college admissions coach from New York. I received an MFA in Creative Writing and Literature from Stony Brook University and a BA in English at SUNY New Paltz.

I have always had a passion for helping people express themselves on the page, whether they are a high school senior trying to describe themselves in 650 words or a poet looking to find that perfect form and rhythm.

As a college applications coach, I help students craft authentic, standout applications that reflect their real voice and potential. I also serve as a support during what is both a stressful and exciting time. Every day, I am honored to work with such bright students who will help pave our shared futures. As a literary editor, I collaborate with writers to refine their manuscripts—clarifying structure and direction, and polishing each line until it sings. My goal is to preserve the writer’s voice and vision while helping their writing reach its full impact. After all, as writer Laurence Carr often said in his writing workshops during my university days, “We are not writing for the drawer.” Learn more about my services here.

In my free time, I write poems, scripts, short stories, songs—you name it! I am co-founder and poetry editor of Moonlighting by Lit Pub, a literary journal that celebrates working writers. In 2023, I was an Artist-in-Residence at the Watermill Center, and I am a top prize recipient for 2022's Money for Women in Fiction: Barbara Deming Memorial Fund. You can find my work in Lightwood Press, Ponder Review, The Brooklyn Rail, and more.
